九華碧翠不沾塵，

青弋微瀾亦可珍。

云染汀溪白鸛匿，

燈行湖港彩荷真。

老春留住尋鄉(xiāng)客，

徽墨邀來(lái)渡水人。

敢問(wèn)詩(shī)仙今在否，

敬亭山上幾回聞？

九華山青翠明麗，不染纖塵。青弋江波光粼粼，汩汩流淌，似一條素練貫穿宣城。汀溪輕云飄忽不定，水草豐茂，白鸛時(shí)隱時(shí)現(xiàn)。每到荷燈節(jié)，姑娘們?cè)谒?yáng)江面放起五顏六色的荷燈，滿(mǎn)江燈彩順流而下，甚是壯觀。

香醇的老春酒曾令“詩(shī)仙”李白驚羨稱(chēng)絕，也吸引了無(wú)數(shù)游子來(lái)此把酒持螯，極盡歡憨。色澤黑潤(rùn)的徽墨邀約歷代文人跋山涉水來(lái)到這里，一展文采。敢問(wèn)，“詩(shī)仙”李白是否詩(shī)魂還在？延綿起伏的敬亭山，你可知李白幾度神游此處？

Ode to Xuancheng

Mount Jiuhua looks so tall and green,

River Qingyi’s full of ripples clean.

Clouds float round, white storks in grass hide.

Waves are blue, lotus lamps are bright.

Laochun wine could not be better,

Anhui ink attracts man 'f letters.

Has Li Bai come back over ages?

Mount Jingting is a mount for sages.

Paraphrase:

Mount Jiuhua is famous for its peaks and sweet air. The shimmering Qingyijiang River runs across Xuancheng. The Tingxi county is in mist with white storks playing among water plants. At Lotus Lamp Night, girls put the lamps in the Shuiyang River in memory of Yangsi, a legendary youth who won a battle against a vicious monster to save the people but lost his life in the river.

Laochun wine is a well-known brand in Xuancheng. It is said that the wine made by Uncle Ji was so tasteful that Li Bai, the greatest poet in the Tang Dynasty, named it “Uncle Ji's Laochun”. Almost thirteen centuries have passed, the wine is still a favorite for both locals and guests. Xuancheng is one of the original areas of Anhui ink, which has been popular with calligraphers and writers since ancient times. It is also a major supplier of other stationeries for a scholar’s study, such as Chinese art paper, brush and ink slab. Therefore, literati come to Xuancheng for “the four precious articles of the writing table”. They produced numerous masterpieces with these scholar’s "jewels". I wonder if Li Bai occasionally comes back to Xuancheng from heaven. Mount Jingting, have you any clue? You are the mount that Li Bai would not be tired of.

    The Xuancheng city is located at southeastern Anhui province. It is at the west waist line of Shanghai-Nanjing-Hangzhou Delta. It is the frontier for transferring industry and capital from the east to central China, and a hub for Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui. It links southeastern coastal cities and the inland regions.
