Talin(Buddhist Pagoda Forest)

少林寺塔林是登封“天地之中”八處十一項(xiàng)歷史建筑群世界文化遺產(chǎn)之，位于寺院西300米處，是少林寺歷代高僧安息的墓地。少林寺塔林占地面積約14000多平方米，現(xiàn)存有唐、五代、宋、金、元、明、清、現(xiàn)代共計(jì)248座佛塔，是中國(guó)現(xiàn)存規(guī)模最大、數(shù)量最多、建塔最全、跨越時(shí)間最長(zhǎng)、文物價(jià)值最高的一座塔林，集古代磚石建筑、雕刻、書(shū)法、繪畫(huà)藝術(shù)之大成，被專(zhuān)家學(xué)者譽(yù)為是“古塔藝術(shù)博物館于1996年11月20日被國(guó)務(wù)院公布為國(guó)家級(jí)重點(diǎn)文物保護(hù)單位。

The pagoda forest of Shaolin temple， located 300m away from the west of the

temple， is one of the world cultural heritages of historic building group of eight

places and 11itemsofDengfeng”Heaven and the earth center”， which is the burying

place of eminent monks of all ages of the temple.There are various pagodas

scattered like a forest， hence the name“pagoda forest”.With floorspace of above

14， 000m 2， the pagoda forest is the existing pagoda， with the largest scale， largest

amount， most complete building ages， longest history and highest val ye of cultural

relics， of China， with 248extantstupas constructed in dynasties of Tang， Wu dai，

Song， Jin， Yuan， Ming and Qing and mb dern times in total.Integrated with the arts of

ancient masonry， graving， handwriting and drawing， it is hailed as.“the art museum

of ancient pagoda”by experts and scholars and was announced as the national
