?用來表示多少和第幾的詞叫數(shù)詞。數(shù)詞可分為基數(shù)詞和序數(shù)詞兩類。

1. 基數(shù)詞：用來表示多少的詞叫基數(shù)詞。

①13-19 后面都是teen，20-90 后面都是ty.

② 35 → thirty-five    29 → twenty-nine

基數(shù)詞中沒有百、千的單位詞，用千（thousand）和百萬（million）來表達數(shù)字。

1萬=10 thousand  1億=100 million   10億=a thousand million= 1 billion

2. 基數(shù)詞的用法

①當基數(shù)詞hundred, thousand, million和billion表示大量的確定的數(shù)目時，不能在詞尾+s.

two hundred students 200個學生 five thousand years 5000年

②當基數(shù)詞hundreds, thousands, millions和 billions表示大量的不確定的數(shù)目，后面+of。

hundreds of people 數(shù)以百計的人  thousands of trees 成千上萬棵樹
