More women's restrooms will be constructed in public places in Shanghai in upcoming years and the ratio of men's facilities to women's will be targeted to at least 1-to-2 to give the ladies more convenience.

為了方便女士，未來幾年，上海擬在重要公共場所增設女廁，廁所男女廁位比提高到1：2以上。

所謂的重要公共場所包括：

交通客運設施（Public transportation hubs），文化商業(yè)中心（cultural and shopping centers），商業(yè)街（commercial streets），旅游景點（scenic spots），公園（parks），影院（cinemas）等……

At some places, the ratio of the facilities in Shanghai fails to meet current standards, which were laid down in 2007, according to a report published by the Shanghai Municipal Women and Children Committee. For example, more than 70% of the restrooms in metro stations fail to reach the stipulated ratio of 1-to-1.5.

上海市婦女兒童工作委員會發(fā)布的一份報告顯示，在上海，許多地方的廁位比未能達到2007年頒布的規(guī)定，比如，在上海地鐵站，按照男女廁位比1:1.5的規(guī)定來計算，不達標廁所超過了70%。

The report said that 41% of the women respondents in the survey said they often find the toilets are fully occupied when entering a public restroom, and 65.2% of them said they have to wait between one to five minutes before their turn.

The committee said that promoting the rebuilding of more facilities to render more toilets to women according to the actual flowrate of people has become a part of its draft of the 13th Five-Year Plan, which is being reviewed by the municipal authority.

上海市婦兒工委還表示，已經將“根據實際人流量，有計劃地推進公共廁所改建工作”寫入上海婦女兒童“十三五”規(guī)劃（送審稿）。

Family restrooms, where there is space for parents and children, changing tables for infants and handrails for the elderly or disabled users, have also been put in the draft.

同時，規(guī)劃中還包括建設有父母子女互相協助時使用的、有嬰兒護理板和具備無障礙設施的廁所間。
