《我如行云獨自游-》是華茲華斯抒情的代表作之一，寫于1804年。據(jù)說此詩是根據(jù)詩人兄妹倆一起外出游玩時深深地被大自然的嫵媚所吸引這一經(jīng)歷寫成的，體現(xiàn)了詩人關于詩歌應描寫"平靜中回憶起來的情感（emotion recollected in tranquility）這一詩學主張。全詩可以分成兩大部分；寫景和抒情。詩的開篇以第一人稱敘述，格調顯得低沉憂郁。詩人一方面竭力捕捉回憶的渺茫信息，另一方面又覺得獨自漂游，可以自由自在地欣賞大自然所賦予的美景。他把自己比作一朵流云，隨意飄蕩，富有想象的詩句暗示詩人有一種排遣孤獨、向往自由的心情。在他的回憶中，水仙花繽紛茂密，如繁星點點在微風中輕盈飄舞 。
