1. Can you play the guitar? (P59) 你會(huì)彈吉他嗎？

動(dòng)詞play 在句中意為“彈”；“拉”；“演奏”，表示彈奏樂(lè)器時(shí)，樂(lè)器名詞前面要加定冠詞the。如：

I am learning to play the violin. 我在學(xué)習(xí)拉小提琴。

She likes playing the piano. 她喜歡彈鋼琴。

I can’t play the trumpet? 我不會(huì)吹喇叭。

注意：play表示“打（踢）球”，與球類運(yùn)動(dòng)、棋類運(yùn)動(dòng)的名詞連用時(shí)，這些名詞前沒(méi)有冠詞。如：

Can you play basketball or play chess? 你打籃球或下國(guó)際象棋嗎？

    We play football in the afternoon. 我們下午踢足球。

2. I want to join the music club. (P59) 我想?yún)⒓右魳?lè)俱樂(lè)部。

join用作及物動(dòng)詞，意為“參加”；“加入”，指參加黨派、團(tuán)體等組織，并且成為其中一員。如：

辨析：paint 與draw：

兩者都可以用作動(dòng)詞，paint指用顏料繪畫(huà)，涂油漆。如：

He wants to paint the door green. 他想把門(mén)漆成綠色的。

Please paint the toy car yellow. 請(qǐng)把玩具小汽車(chē)涂成黃色的。

draw指用鋼筆、鉛筆、蠟筆或粉筆等繪畫(huà)，畫(huà)線等。如：

be good with 表示“和……相處得好”。如：

be in=join，in在句中表示“成為.….的成員”；“從事（職業(yè)）”。如：

may意為“可以”，是情態(tài)動(dòng)詞，表示許可或請(qǐng)求許可，后面要求接動(dòng)詞原形。如：

You may leave now. 你現(xiàn)在可以離開(kāi)了。

注意：May大寫(xiě)時(shí)是名詞，意為“五月”。如：

My brother’s birthday is May 4th. 我兄弟的生日為五月四日。

辨析：a little 與little：

little；意為“少許的”；“少量的”，表示否定的意思，相當(dāng)于not much；a little意為“有一點(diǎn)”；“一些”，表示肯定的意思，相當(dāng)于some but not much，都用來(lái)修飾不可數(shù)名詞。如：

There is little water in the glass. 杯子里幾乎沒(méi)有水了。

There is a little water in the glass. 杯子里有一點(diǎn)水。

兩者也可用作副詞，用來(lái)修飾形容詞、副詞或動(dòng)詞，在句中作狀語(yǔ)。如：

I like action movies little. 我不喜歡動(dòng)作片。
